De functie / The role
Within the department Analytical Development our client focuses on developing methods that are eventually used in the QC department where vaccines for human use are tested. Analysis include testing for identity, quantity, potency, purity and contamination.
As Scientist Analytical Method Development you will be responsible for the tests that are used to track and determine the safety of unwanted products in the vaccines (also called extraneous agents). Your work will not focus on hands-on laboratory work, but on risk assessments and subsequently coming up with ideas for methods that lead to a lower risk level. One of the most important parts of your work is a correct and effective documentation and communication with stakeholders (CRO"s, internal departments).
Het profiel / Your profile
To be successful in this role, you have a PhD degree with at least 2 years of experience with method development. MSc graduates with several publications are also welcome to apply. You have excellent and proven writing skills in publications, SOPs and transfer documentation. Your background and working experience is in the field of Microbiology or Cell biology, with a focus on bacterial vaccines. The assays you will be working on are cell-based, so experience with such assays (for example PCR and sequencing) is needed. You also gained experience with GMP/GLP standards.
As a person, you work best in a multidisciplinary team where you are open to input and like to discuss the progress of the project with the team. You can best be described as a quality/regulatory-minded researcher with the correct scientific knowledge.
A valid working permit without sponsorship from the company is mandatory for this position.
Het aanbod / The offer
This is a position through Hays and will be 36 to 40 hours. Initially, the project will run until January 2020. However, long-term possibilities are anticipated. You will get a salary from €4200 up to €4700 and your travel expenses will be covered.
