De functie / The role

We are currently looking for the WEC & Nordics Customer Marketing Manager Rare Diseases, who will lead the Brand strategy and the design, adaptation and implementation all the key marketing activities in Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Greece, Portugal and Nordics. This is an international role since it is part of the European Rare Diseases marketing team. Because on average one out of 1 hundred thousand people are diagnosed with rare auto inflammatory diseases, this team is very passionate about helping others. As a Cluster Customer Marketing Manager, you will lead key initiatives related to the product aiming at growing the overall business through innovative patient centric services and programs for patients and health care professionals. Furthermore, you will work closely with the European Rare Diseases Brand Director to localize key global programs and services, according to the market needs of your countries. In this role, you need to demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills cross-functional and cross-countries, where best practice sharing and learning will be core part of your role. In addition, you will be part of the Region Europe marketing Rare Diseases team for IlarisĀ® reporting to the Region Europe Brand Director Rare Diseases at our head office in Basel. You will be based in Amsterdam, whereas you will be traveling 30%-40% of the time.

Your major accountabilities:
o Provide ownership and leadership for customer marketing-related activities maximizing Region Europe brand strategy with local needs adaptations for the allocated countries in your cluster;
o collaborate with the Rare Disease team, regional team and country organization teams in order to develop, implement and execute operational local plans that optimize sales, market share and revenue growth for Rare Disease products;
o support the implementation, coordination and execution of activities led by Rare Disease Advisors, Medical Cluster Managers, the Regional Rare Disease team and country organization teams;
o understand the varied patient journeys in the Cluster Countries and, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, develop programs/activities to improve the patient journey particularly prior to diagnosis of Rare Disease;
o identify and understand the roles and responsibilities of key decision-makers in each Treatment Centre and how their key needs differ;
o develop knowledge of competitors through market research, field visits and competitive intelligence;
o support the preparation of product message and communication strategies;
o support in the execution of key opinion leader development programs;
o adapt the core positioning and strategy to the needs of specific segments and high priority decision makers (across geographies/regions as appropriate).

Het profiel / Your profile

Minimum requirements:
o A university degree in Bioscience, Medicine, Business, and/or Economics or similar. MBA or PhD preferred, but not required;
o broad experience of more than 10 years in marketing in a pharma company (Orphan drug/ Oncology/ Rx / hospital); Sales and/or medical experience preferred;
o strong digital experience, focusing on new innovative ideas on maximizing customers multichannel digital engagement;
o good command of the English, Dutch and German language;
o ability to challenge status quo, drive change and very strong leadership skills;
o excellent stakeholder engagement skills (internal and external). Ability to establish a strong collaboration with all the countries within the cluster plus all the other clusters cross-functional;
o strong analytical and strategic skills;
o motivation to work for patients good. Mission driven mindset;
o you will be based in Amsterdam, this role requires about 30%-40% travel time. This is a fulltime position.
